Through the use of an oxygen-free kiln, the shaft undergoes an intense heat treatment that enhances its strength and durability. This process, known as torrification, subjects the wood to high temperatures that effectively burn off sugars, eliminate moisture, and transform the cellular structure. As a result, the shaft acquires exceptional resistance to warping and moisture, similar to carbon fiber materials, while still providing the familiar feel and characteristics of wood. The shaft is further enhanced with Jacoby's Hydex 2.02 ferrule, ensuring optimal performance with minimal deflection.
